Ways We Can Work Together...

Psychological Assessment

Psychological assessment is used to diagnose learning, behavioral, or emotional challenges. Dr. Wolf provides assessment for children, adolescents and adults to diagnose Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Testing for ADHD or autism can offer meaningful insight into how a neurodivergent mind works, not to pathologize, but to help individuals and families better understand strengths, support needs, and ways to thrive with authenticity and self-acceptance.

Is 'traditional' psychological assessment the right path for me?

This approach is helpful when a diagnosis is needed for school, treatment, or accommodations. They provide clear, standardized data about strengths and challenges, often used to guide next steps or services.

What to expect:

When you choose a psychological evaluation for an Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) or Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), it begins with a clinical interview where we explore your history and symptoms, and social, school/work, and family context, this often sets the stage for understanding what’s happening.

We then use tools like behavior rating scales, observations, standardized cognitive or screening tests to gather data that’s compared to age-based norms.

The combined information helps us accurately identify whether you or your child meets criteria for ASD, ADHD, or other concerns, and guide personalized recommendations for support at home, school, work, or therapy.

Traditional Psychological Assessment

1. Getting to Know You
We start with a conversation about your concerns, background, and daily life.
2. Looking at Everyday Life
We explore how things are going at home, school, work, and with others.
3. Testing & Observation
You or your child complete checklists, tasks, and observations.
4. Making Sense of the Results
We compare the results to what’s typical for others your age.
5. Understanding the Diagnosis
We determine whether the results support a diagnosis of ADHD, or ASD.
6. Creating a Support Plan
You get clear recommendations to help at home, school, or work.
